Choco-Licious Baked Oats

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of organic rolled oats
  • ½ tsp of gluten free baking powder (make your own with brown rice flour, cream of tartar and bicarbonate of soda)
  • 1 pinch of good quality salt (e.g. pink Himalayan)
  • 2 TBSP of organic cacao powder
  • 2 tsp of psyllium husk
  • ½ tsp of Ceylon ground cinnamon, unsweetened
  • Optional: 1 tsp of pure ground vanilla bean, unsweetened
  • 1 piece of small to medium sized, ripe and mashed
  • ¼ cup of rice malt syrup
  • 2 TBSP of almond butter
  • 1 cup of plant milk
  • Optional: 2 TBSP of dark chocolate chips

Method:

  1. In a larger bowl, mix your all your dry ingredients together, except for the chocolate chips.
  2. In a separate bowl, add all your wet ingredients and combine well.
  3. Add your wet ingredients to your dry mixture and mix until well combined.
  4. Add your oat mixture to your ovenproof dish.
  5. Roughly, stir in or, if you prefer, sprinkle with your chocolate chips.
  6. Bake for 15-30 minutes at 180 degrees– depending on your oven and in what dishes you are baking your oats, the bigger the dishe, the longer the baking time.
  7. Enjoy your choco-licious baked oats warm and with a heart full of self-love and gratitude for your amazing body and self!
