Ingredients:
- 1 cup of organic rolled oats
- ½ tsp of gluten free baking powder (make your own with brown rice flour, cream of tartar and bicarbonate of soda)
- 1 pinch of good quality salt (e.g. pink Himalayan)
- 2 TBSP of organic cacao powder
- 2 tsp of psyllium husk
- ½ tsp of Ceylon ground cinnamon, unsweetened
- Optional: 1 tsp of pure ground vanilla bean, unsweetened
- 1 piece of small to medium sized, ripe and mashed
- ¼ cup of rice malt syrup
- 2 TBSP of almond butter
- 1 cup of plant milk
- Optional: 2 TBSP of dark chocolate chips
Method:
- In a larger bowl, mix your all your dry ingredients together, except for the chocolate chips.
- In a separate bowl, add all your wet ingredients and combine well.
- Add your wet ingredients to your dry mixture and mix until well combined.
- Add your oat mixture to your ovenproof dish.
- Roughly, stir in or, if you prefer, sprinkle with your chocolate chips.
- Bake for 15-30 minutes at 180 degrees– depending on your oven and in what dishes you are baking your oats, the bigger the dishe, the longer the baking time.
