Total Vegan Falafel Bliss


  • 5 cups of cooked chickpeas
  • 1 cup of grated carrot
  • 1 large brown onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • ¼ cup of flaxseeds, ground
  • Quality salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp of cumin, ground
  • 1 tsp of coriander, ground
  • ¾ cup of flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 TBSP of lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 -3 TBSP of tahini paste
  • 2 – 3 TBSP of chickpea flour
  • Optional: sesame seeds or hemp seeds for the crust


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and grease your dish with good quality oil.
  2. Process your chickpeas, carrot, onion, garlic, spices, herbs salt and pepper.
  3. Add lemon juice and ground flax seeds, and combine well.
  4. Add Tahini paste and chickpea flower and combine.
  5. Make little, firm patties and cover with sesame or hemps seeds if using.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Turn the patties and bake for another 10 minutes or until golden on both sides and smelling irresistible.
