Anti-inflammatory Sweet Potato Chips

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium-sized sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into approximately 1 cm sticks
  • 2 TBSP of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 TBSP of turmeric, ground
  • 1 tsp of cumin powder, ground
  • ½ tsp of good quality salt (I used Herbamare)
  • ¼ tsp of black pepper, ground
  • ¼ tsp of cayenne pepper

 

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and line your tray with baking paper.
  2. Mix the olive oil, ground turmeric, cumin powder, black and cayenne pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Coat your sweet potato sticks well in the mixture.
  4. Transfer coated sweet potato sticks to your prepared baking tray. Make sure your sweet potato chips are well scattered.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, turning your chips after 15 minutes, or until golden brown and crunchy.
